Already on its seventh year, Silent Moments 2009 entitled “The Philippine Eternal Care Industry Exhibit” was held last October 8-9, 2009 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. Presented by The Philippine STAR and Philtrade Exhibits, this annual undertaking is the only event in the country dedicated to the eternal care industry.
Co-presented by La Funeraria Paz, La Loma Columbaries, and Prudentialife Market Resources Corporation (PMRC), this year's Silent Moments goal was to educate the public on the services available to them in times of emotional crises or death. It also brought camaraderie among the members of the eternal care industry as it showcased the latest trends and technology in the eternal care industry.
Silent Moments 2009 was supported by the Department of Health, Philippine Mortuary Association, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Human Organ Preservation Effort, Eyebank Foundation of the Philippines, Sta. Lucia International Eyebank of Manila, Tissue and Bone Bank Dept. of Orthopedics U.P.-PGH Manila, and Philippine National Red Cross.
