Philippine Realtors Hold 49th National Convention

The Philippine Association of REALTORS® Board (PAREB) held its 49th National Convention and Elections last October 8-10, 2009 at the Apo View Hotel in Davao City.

In line with the growing concern for Mother Earth, this year’s theme was “Realtors: Work Global, Think Environment.” It was hosted by the Davao Board of Realtors headed by Senior Vice President , Lisa Elsie E. Parreno .

It was attended by delegates representing 52 Local Constituent Boards from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao.

Among the speakers were several past and present officers of PAREB. Guest speakers include Architect Amado P. De Jesus, Jr., Chairman of the Green Architecture Movement of the United Architects of the Philippines. He spoke about Green Architecture and the Real Estate Industry; and Fr. Daniel McNamara, SJ, Rector Ateneo de Davao University who discussed global warming and climate change.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte gave a message during the welcome dinner on October 8, 2009 while House Speaker and Davao City 1st District Rep. Prospero Nograles graced the Fellowship Dinner on October 9.

The Philippine Association of REALTORS® Boards, Inc.
