The Philippine Daily Inquirer, a leading major national newspaper and its program Job Market together with the Inquirer Libre, held its Career Expo 2009 last October 26 and 27 at the Glorietta Activity Center. With its aim to bridge the gap between job seekers and HR practitioners for a decade now, the said career expo has been done annually.
Sponsored by many various media partners namely JOB Market Online, Informatics, Ayala Malls, 90.7 Love Radio, DZRH, YES! FM 101.1 and 103.5 MAX FM, the two-day job fair was well-attended. Some of the country’s most established companies accepted applications from walk-ins who personally handed their resumes. This also served as an opportunity for those others who have been meaning to advance their professional growth in the corporate or non-corporate realm.
Free on-site training workshops were also carried out conducted by American English Skills Development Center, Inc., Personi.fi, and People Straps. This event indeed helped jobseekers to find their dream jobs and land them.
