Weathering the Storm: Strategies in Dealing with Business Crises

In these tough times for business, most companies and businessmen might think that cost-cutting is the only recourse. Driven to change this mentality, The Philippine Quality and Productivity Movement – Visayas and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board VII and organized the 12th Regional Quality and Productivity Congress last Nov. 12 and 13.

With its theme “Proven Strategies in Weathering Business Crisis,” the congress discusses the challenges of sustainability in the export industry, how to break into international markets, the best practices in manufacturing, the Loboc, Bohol model for good governance, quality optimization for food industry success, and managing systems for franchise corporations.

Professor Rene Domingo, core faculty member of the Asian Institute of Management program for Masters in Business Management and Sime Darby Professor for Manufacturing was the keynote speaker and lecturer for the two-day event, which concluded with a Grand Majestic Convention.

The 12th Regional Quality and Productivity Congress was sponsored by the Business Mirror and Sun Star Cebu.
