A Celebration of Commitment to Professionalism in Real Estate

Real estate developers and properties have been sprouting in the metropolis, and even in the fast-developing provinces, in the recent years. Real estate brokers, in their quest to promote their company and generate income, may then be tempted to resort to unprofessional methods in order to lure buyers.

This is what the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP) is trying to prevent within its ranks as it celebrates its 31st year. Their theme, “A Commitment to Professionalism” was geared in instilling and uplifting the professional standards of real estate brokers.

Held at the Taal Vista Hotel at Tagaytay City last November 26–28, the convention also served as a venue for the election of officers and directors of REBAP.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Governor (at the time) Ayong Maliksi of Cavite were among those who gave messages for REBAP for the convention. It is to be noted that Cavite arguably the premier province for real estate development, home to hundreds of different subdivisions and low-cost housing options.

Ms. Evangeline Yia, Chairman of the Board of REBAP, said that the passage of the Real estate Service Act (RESA) 9646 calls for a celebration of a milestone after 20 years of their crusade. Ms. Yia also emphasized the Filipino real estates practitioners’ abilities and professional values to be at par with the international standards.
