Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility All Set This November

The eighth annual Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (AFCSR) will be held on November 19- 20, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila in Quezon City.

This year's theme is " Sustaining CSR in Difficult Times: How business can benefit and why it still makes business sense". The conference, organized by Asian Institute of Management - Ramon V.del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (AIM-RVR CSR) and managed by OIC Events features several activities specially designed to address the various issues and concerns of CSR practitioners.

Plenary sessions will update delegates on the major trends and developments shaping the CSR landscape. Special interest sessions will be focused on specific dynamics, learning and best practices of companies AFCSR 2009 will showcase the latest frameworks, examples, products and technology designed to help companies integrate CSR into their business processes.

An integral part of AFCSR is the Asian CSR Awards that recognizes and honors Asian companies for outstanding, innovative and world-class products, services, projects and programs in five categories - Best Workplace Practices; Concern for Health; Environmental Excellence; Poverty Alleviation; and Support and Improvement of Education. These projects should demonstrate the company's leadership, sincerity and on-going commitment in incorporating ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, respect for individuals, involvement in communities and protection of the environment into the way they do business. The Awards ceremonies will take place during the Gala Dinner and Awards Night of AFCSR 2009 on November 20, 2009.
