The International College of Surgeons—Philippines Section held its 60th Annual Convention last November 27 to 29 at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino, Malate Manila.
Attended by well-known and respected local and foreign speakers, the event themed as “ICS: Innovations, Center for Excellence, and Service” discussed a comprehensive and in-depth topics for their members. Moreover, the speakers shared heir knowledge and experience as part of their commitment to continuing surgical education.
The convention also celebrated the induction of new members and new set of officers for 2010-2011. ICS World President Professor Christopher Chen officiates the Induction Ceremonies. He is a Singaporean national dedicated to giving ICS the advancements, improvements, and expansion.
Under the leadership of Dr. Edwin Argonza, ICS-Phil Section President, the college has reached the honor of ranking number three in the world as far as membership growth concerned.
Dr. Placido Calimag Jr. is the overall chair of the annual fair and the new president-elect of ICS-Phil Section. Their office is located at PMA Building North Avenue, Quezon City (982-1190, 0922-8286709, 0922-8286942)
