Fourth Mommy Milkshake Marathon

Breastfeeding is one of the most rewarding experiences for a mother – not only does it ensure the proper nutrition for babies, it also serves as an emotional “bonding” moment for the mother and her child, forging a connection between them.

With all sorts of different “runs for a cause” popping up, Mommy Mundo decided to kick off the breastfeeding month of August with the Fourth Mommy Milkshake Marathon last Aug. 8 at the Bonifacio Global City. The day-long event had two different divisions, the 3K and the 5K run, and served as a “fun and relaxed run with [your] family and kids.”

The marathon encouraged the support and promotion of breastfeeding in the country as an activity that promotes health and beauty for the mother and child, an affordable and accessible, not to mention environmentally friendly, way of feeding babies.

The Fourth Mommy Milkshake Marathon was presented by Mommy Mundo, the Philippine Association of Childbirth Education (PACE), and GlaxoSmithKline, supported by Mommy Matters, Havaianas, RCBC Savings Bank, Richwell Corporation, Big & Small Co., and Bonifacio Global City. Media partners were the Lifestyle Network, MomsToday, Urban Mom Magazine, and Mommy Pages.
