Celebrations! is created with the idea that all of life’s big events deserve a special celebration. Migration Expo 2010: “Everything You Need to Go Abroad”

With the goal to help Filipinos who are interested in going to, working, or migrating abroad, JobStreet.com and Immigrant Visa Center organized the Migration Expo and Local Job Fair at Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City last Jan. 22 - 23, 2010.

Intent on preparing Filipinos for their overseas ventures, the Migration Expo is a free-for-all affair, with seminars and question-and-answer segments across the two-day-event. Several companies were also present in the expo and discussed topics including world-class education, employment opportunities, migration consultancies, loan and financing options, and mobile passporting.

Among the companies who participated are Figaro, Duty Free, PLDT, Globe Telecom, NEO Computers, AG Finance, and LBC.

Raffle draws were also included in the event proceedings, with the draws conducted in between the programs.

CCCME returns for fair, product exhibition

The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) carried out the return of the 2009 China Fair & China Machinery & Electronic Products Exhibition held on November 19 – 22, 2009 at the world-class exhibition hall, SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

As anticipated to be the single biggest Chinese related event ever held in the country, this mega exhibit was held coinciding with the World Entrepreneur Business Expo and the 10th World Chinese Entrepreneurs. A targeted total of over 5,000 foreign and 10,000 local delegates participated in this event and viewed the products and services by some of China’s leading suppliers and technology providers participating in the exhibit.

Most of the products displayed were introduced to the Philippines for the first time. The show had slowly become more like a mini Canton Fair by bringing the best of Chinese products directly to the local buyers – a real product sourcing fair for every visitor.

The 2009 China Fair & China Machinery & Electronic Products Exhibition brought together close to 300 Chinese companies, occupying over 5,000 sq. meters of exhibition space and over 400 delegates offering a wide range of products and services ranging from automobiles & motorcycles (including parts), building materials & hardware products, communication & automation, household appliances, electrical products, food equipment, packaging & processing equipment, industrial machinery, construction equipment and many more. It also brought new products, combined with China’s most successful export items on sale at the most reasonable prices to an audience of no less than 25,000 trade buyers from all over the country.

Other activities were business to business meetings for networking opportunities. Exhibitors also used the show to look for distributors and agents, product seminars, meetings with various government agencies and exploratory talks for investment opportunities. Products at the show were also sold at very special prices to visitors on a “first come, first served” basis.

Educ Fair Advocates to Go Global

As a project of the Study International, the Commonwealth Education Fair 2009 was staged at Sports Club Cebu, Marco Polo Davao and Renaissance (New World) Makati City Hotel from November 17-19, 2009 at the said venues respectively.

Dubbed as the biggest education event in the Philippines, this event provided an ideal platform to speak to various representatives from overseas universities, colleges and schools about study abroad opportunities. Aside from that, the said fair also opened the minds of the attendees that education abroad is not as expensive as people think. They urged everyone to enrich their knowledge and career and to go global - STUDY ABROAD!
