Inter-U photo contest supports environment changes

Photo enthusiasts from different universities in the metro framed their most coveted shots to display on a photography competition at the Mapua Institute University Gymnasium last March 27.

VIEWPOINT – Developing Positive Changes is an inter-university competition participated by different universities which include: Adamson University, Far Eastern University, Feati University, Mapua Institute University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, San Sebastian College, Technological University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, University of the East, and the University of the Philippines.

This competition aims to encourage the students to contribute to the development of positive changes about Global Warming by sharing simple ways or acts on how to protect the environment using photographs.

The second and third place winners received a cash price and a special gift pack. The grand winner, on the other hand, will have a billboard display aside from the gift pack and cash price.

2010 Hair Asia Event

The 20th National Open Championship for Hair and Makeup launched last March 9, at the World Trade Center, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. It is one of Hair Asia’s annual competitions anticipated by salon professionals all over the country, which was also supported by the Unilever Philippines.

The country’s premier celebrity makeup artist, James Cooper, also launched the newest addition to his premier makeup line. The Jazzy Collection features new exuberant colors for summer as well as shimmery colors for the young crowd. Unbeknownst to most, James Cooper is actually the first Filipino makeup artist to produce and launch his very own line of products.
