Job Fest Career Fair, Super Kids 2010, and Best of Anime 2010

Primetrade Asia Inc., showcased three events in four consecutive days at the SMX Convention Center last September 16-19.

The first event is the Job Fest Career Fair 2010 presented in cooperation with Jobsdb.com, Studio 23, and the Manila Bulletin. The Career Fair opened September 16 and concluded with hundreds of jobs provided on the second day.

Meanwhile, the second event is in partnership with Maximus Inventus and Promil Nurture Network which set foot from September 17 to 18. Super Kids 2010 aims to support creative learning and champion minds to excel in their chosen endeavor. The event was supported by Johnson’s Pure Essentials, Johnson’s Baby, Junior, and the Manila Bulletin.

The last event, moreover, is an extravagant anime expo entitled The Best of Anime 2010, which was conducted in cooperation with Hero. The event showcased the best of anime movies, trends, and costumes on its one-day event last September 19. Tie-Up organizers of the said event include Japan Foundation, Cosplay.ph, Creativoices, and Society of Young Voice Artists of the Philippines (SYVAP). Sponsors of the successful expo were MSI-ECS, Suspended Animation Media, Yoshinoya, Netopia, GAME, ClicktheCity, Tempest Films, and the Manila Bulletin.

Jobs Galore for Manileños

Powered and organized by JobQuest.ph, the City of Manila hosted the Manila City Job Fair last April 8 and 9 at the Orosa Atrium, Robinsons Place Manila.

The Manila City Job Fair was especially geared toward fresh graduates and unemployed residents of Manila, but job seekers from other places and nearby municipalities were also enjoined to participate in the event; in addition, pre-registered participants through the JobQuest website were given freebies.

JobQuest.ph was joined by Robinsons Place Manila and the Rotary Club of Las Piñas East District in this endeavor.

Overseas jobs offered at Alphaland

The Alphaland Southgate Mall, in cooperation with the Philippine Star, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Public Employment Service Office, offered and presented the Alphaland Southgate Mall Overseas Job Fair last March 12-13 at The Tents of Alphaland Southgatemall in Makati City.

The fair featured and offered job opportunities abroad including Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Canada, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, Bahrain, and some other countries around the globe.

All of the international recruitment companies are bonafide members of the Philippine Association of Service Exporters Inc., (PASEI) which only guarantees that the hired employees will get a genuine job overseas and will not be a victim of any illegal recruiters.

PDI holds Annual Career Expo

The Philippine Daily Inquirer, a leading major national newspaper and its program Job Market together with the Inquirer Libre, held its Career Expo 2009 last October 26 and 27 at the Glorietta Activity Center. With its aim to bridge the gap between job seekers and HR practitioners for a decade now, the said career expo has been done annually.

Sponsored by many various media partners namely JOB Market Online, Informatics, Ayala Malls, 90.7 Love Radio, DZRH, YES! FM 101.1 and 103.5 MAX FM, the two-day job fair was well-attended. Some of the country’s most established companies accepted applications from walk-ins who personally handed their resumes. This also served as an opportunity for those others who have been meaning to advance their professional growth in the corporate or non-corporate realm.

Free on-site training workshops were also carried out conducted by American English Skills Development Center, Inc., Personi.fi, and People Straps. This event indeed helped jobseekers to find their dream jobs and land them.

Third Med Expo Showcases Latest Medical Products and Services

In conjunction with the Fourth Philippine International Medical Job Fair and the Second Manila Nursing Expo, ADEXHIBIT Inc. organized the three-day Third Philippine International Medical Expo at the SM Megatrade Hall 1 last July 30–Aug. 2.

The event featured various shows and exhibits of the latest medical products and services, including the Philippine International Hospital; Pharmaceutical; Healthy Food and Beverages; Medical Supply; Optical; Hearing; Health, Beauty, and Fitness; Hair; Dental; and Medical School shows.

Free seminars and product presentations and samplings were also included in the roster of events for the Medical Expo.

The Department of Health – National Capital Region also conducted a seminar regarding the threats and prevention of Influenza A(H1N1).

The three-day event was sponsored by Business World and media sponsors including Manila Bulletin, The Philippine Star, The Manila Times, Action Fitness, and Jam 88.3.
