Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink 2010 at the World Trade Center

The Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development, Inc. will be presenting the 17th International Agribusiness Exhibition and Seminars, the 11th International Food Processing, Packaging and Products Exhibition, and the 6th National Fisheries Exhibition and Seminars on October 7-9, 2010 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

With this year's theme, Good Agricultural Practices: Key to Competitiveness, the exhibit will focus on the continuous rapid changing of our agricultural landscape, nature of globalization of world trade, environmental degradation and a host of other factors have led the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO) to formulate the global standard called Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) to apply to a wide range of farming systems at different scales.

Asia Food Expo and Food Serv Asia 2010

The Asia Food Expo 2010, the 19th International Exposition on Food-Processing, Packaging, and Handling Machinery, Equipment and Technology, was held in conjunction with Food Serv Asia 2010, the 10th International Exposition on Food Service, Catering Systems, Supplies, and Equipment and Technology, and Bakery Asia 2010, an International Exposition on Bakery and Confectionery Systems, Supplies and Equipment last September 8 – 11, 2010.

Food and Drinks Asia 2010 and Food Franchising 2010

Food and Drinks Asia 2010, the 14th International Exposition on Specialty Foods, Delicatessen, Confectionery, Beverages, Beers, and Wines and Spirits, held last September 2 to 5 in conjunction with Food Franchising 2010, the 14th International Food Franchising and Business Systems Exposition.

Food and Drinks is an international exposition of local and imported foods, delicatessen, fruit preserves, juices and concentrates, specialty foods, pasta and noodles, milk and dairy products, food additives and mixtures, flavorings, spices and condiments, chocolates and confectionery items, wines and liquors, fruit juices, canned and frozen meat products, fresh fruits and vegetables among others.

7th Vegetables Congress in Mindanao

Consolidation and marketing opportunities in the domestic Vegetable trade were highlighted at the 7th Mindanao Vegetable Congress held at the Almont Hotel and Inland Resort, Butuan City last August 4 to 5, 2010.

“Sustaining the gains of the vegetable industry in Mindanao amidst challenges” was the theme of this year’s Congress, that showcased industry trends, provided presentations on the latest vegetable production technologies, and held “market-matching” meetings between growers and retail and institutional buyers.

The event is supported by the city government of Butuan, the provincial governments of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur, the Department of Agriculture, the Southern Philippine Vegetable Council (SPVC), and USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program.

“This annual event has given a boost to vegetable growers in Mindanao,” said Valeriano Palco, president of the Caraga High-Value Cluster, Inc. (CHiVeCC), lead organizer of this year’s congress.

CHiVeCC is among several vegetable industry groups engaging in private sector – private sector collaboration to improve the production and domestic out-shipment of selected vegetable varieties from the region to Luzon and the Visayas, with GEM assistance.

Dine Philippines 2010: The Food Business Conference of Today's Dining Establishments

1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show

Business Meetings Tradeshows & Events Solutions, Inc in partnership with Pastry Alliance of the Philippines launched the 1st Philippine Chocolate and Ice Cream Show in conjunction with Hotel-Hostel & Restaurant Expo Philippines last July 14-16 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.

The sweetest show in the country is 3-day event that showcased a wide array of chocolate exhibits and presentations with competitions and prices at stake. Aside from those, Ms. Susana F. 5th Food Processing and Packaging Expo Mindanao

The 5th Food Processing and Packaging Expo in Mindanao (FPP Mindanao) held back-to-back with Mindanao Culinary Festival 2010 (MCF 2010) last June 16 to 19 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Davao City.

Organized by the Premier Events Plus Group Inc, in cooperation with Sunbest, Vesmach, Sun Star, the Manila Bulletin, 95.5RT, Business Mirror, DXUM Radyo Ukay, and Chippens, PFP Mindanao highlighted a wide array of seminars and presentations including a talk about The Appetite of Food Photography conducted by Mr. Mark Floro of the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging, a presentation about Healthy Cuisine and Plated Desserts conducted by Chef James Antolin, and a more serious seminar on the Bureau of Food and Drugs Requirements and Updates.

International Food Exhibition Philippines 2010

The International Food Exhibition Philippines (IFEX), a premier sourcing hub for quality Filipino food, held its 2010 run last May 6–8 at the World Trade Center Manila, attracting hundreds of local and international food buyers and enthusiasts.

Aptly themed “Celebrate the Flavors,” the 2010 IFEX presented exciting food destinations in Asia, which featured beverages; meat and poultry; natural, herbal, and organic products; biscuits, snacks, and confectioneries; fine food and specialties; marine products; fresh and processed fruits and vegetables; and allied products and services.

The event, divided into the Exporter’s Zone, which was opened for trade buyers on May 6 and then to visitors on May 7 and 8, and the Retailer’s Zone and International Hall, which was open for the who duration of the event for buyers, visitors, and the general public.

The IFEX 2010 was organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and held in partnership with Department of Agriculture Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service.
