Netizen Icons and Experts to Grace 3rd Social Networking Conference 2010

PANA’s Hailed 2009 PANATA Awardees

Advertising is not all about creativity, it also show heart for good deeds. With this, the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) launched an annual recognition program for outstanding marketing communications materials or campaigns that promote positive Filipino Values—the PANA Truth in Advertising Awards (PANATA).

The 2009 PANATA Awards winners were announced and awarded during the Induction Ceremonies of the 2010 PANA Board of Directors and PANA Foundation Board of Trustees at Mandarin Oriental Manila last January 28, 2010.

PANATA is due to recognize the advertisers that uphold the value of Truth in Advertising and to give credits to the companies who made efforts in promoting ethics and principle to consumers. 

This newly-launched award cater the categories of advertising, direct marketing, interactive/internet marketing, sales promotions, publicity/public relations/employee communications, and special events. Entries were used for the purpose of each of the categories and were aired / published in any mass media form within October 2008 to October 2009.

2009 ASAP Conference Business Refreshed Ideas of Advertising Suppliers

Despite the wilting economy, the Advertising Suppliers Association of the Philippines (ASAP) held its annual conference at the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel InterContinental Manila August 18, 2009.

Entitled “Business Refreshed! Inspire. Incite. Ignite,” this year’s conference offered trendsetting and eye-opening topics pertinent to the industry, the changing themes of media and technology and the profile transformation of its leading players.

Now on its 30th year, the annual ASAP Business Conference presented top-calibre speakers and experts who shared real experiences aimed to jumpstart life back to the staggering business. The conference boasted of the following guest speakers: Dean of the Lyceum of the Philippines University College of Business Administration Dr. Leonardo Garcia, Jr., CPM AMEd, on “Recession Proof Marketing,” Chairman and Chief Disturber of Business Works, Inc.
