Producing and providing renewable energy sources have become among the most important topics in the long-time campaign for protecting the Earth. And to show its support for this very worthwhile endeavor, the RE Coalition teamed up with the UP Mountaineers and the local government of Tiwi, Albay for the CARERA (Coron Adventure Renewable Energy Race).
Conducted last Aug. 29 and 30 at the Naglagbong Geothermal People’s Park (NagPark Race Base Camp) in Tiwi, Albay, the CARERA carried the theme “Renewable Energy: Ushering and Era of Sustainable Energy Development and Use.” It aims to set the pace for providing a cleaner and brighter future by using safer sources of energy, such as geothermal and hydroelectric power.
This environmental event was sponsored by, among others, Chevron, the World Wildlife Fund, USAID, PhilBIO, Energizer, Schick, Aqua Best, and Euro RSCG Agatep PR.
