Leaping Forth to the Future of Management Education

The Council of Management Educators and Practitioners in the Philippines (COMEPP) recently concluded its 20th National Conference last April 15 and 16 at the Summit Ridge Hotel, Tagaytay City.

The theme for this year’s conference was “Future Waves in Management Education: A Leap Forward.” Featuring trends, practices, innovations, and challenges to management education, the two-day event was participated in by industry leaders, educators, practitioners, and school administrators.

Invited speakers were Dr. Nilo Rosas of the Professional Regulatory Commission; Mr. Nelson Celis, CEO of ECI Group of Companies; Pushkar Mishra, president and CEO of Hinduja TMT Ltd.; Mr. Reynaldo Lugtu, country manager of IBM Philippines; and Ms. Miriam C. Basa of Essilor Manufacturing Philippines, Inc., who discussed supply chain management, financial management, innovative development, and other related sub-topics.

Graduating students and graduate school enrollees of related courses were encouraged to join and participate in the conference in order to familiarize themselves with the developments in the management field.
