With the organization’s tradition of giving the presidency to each year’s host of the Annual Convention of the National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs (NFMC), V-Max Owner’s Group (VOG) got to seat on the throne in its 16th year.
The convention, with VOG Prosecutor Benvenido Mabanto Jr. as the Chairman, was held at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) last March 4 to 7, 2010. This year’s convention’s theme was “Road Discipline is the Key to Traffic Safety”. The theme generally concentrated on the discipline the convention wanted to impart to motorcycle drivers to be their first-hand thoughts that they would expectedly exercise along the road to lessen or even eliminate road accidents.
The activities which were all held at the CICC started from registrations up to entertainments such as Bike and Auto Shows in cooperation with the Sportscar Club of Cebu that featured five Generaiton of Corvettes from C-1 to C-5 and Ford Mustangs from 1965 to 2007, welcome dinners with live band and fireworks display for the delegates, the meeting of all the motorcycle club presidents nationwide, and the bike ride from CICC to Tsuneishi Shipyard in Balamban via Naga-Uling Road.
Delegates from Luzon and Mindanao were expected to take two routes from the Strong Republic Nautical Highway or SRNH, and from Surigao, Nasipit, Cagayan de Oro, Ozamiz, and Dapitan, respectively.
