Philippines’ biggest international furniture show took place last March 3 to 7, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center. The event plays a vital role in pushing the industry’s products to global markets in gearing for bolder innovations.
Despite the global recession the Manila Now chairman, Mr. Eduardo Zuluaga spearheads the organization’s aim for a bigger and event this year, compared to the last few years of showcasing Filipino industry, with services fit for international furniture and furnishing markets. Preparations are being made to accommodate 10,000 visitors and buyers. The show will feature talents of various exhibitors from Cebu which known to be a design-driven region, accessories hand-crafted from the region of Bacolod and IloIlo, the hospitality furniture of Metro Manila and the giant furniture-carvings of Pamapanga. Organizers, plans to add a new major attraction for this year’s show, the “Interior Designer’s Pavillion”, this section features individual display of the country’s top 25 interior designers with their real-life setting applications on various furniture and furnishings.
