Philippine Cable TV and the Digital Age

Cable television has long been in the forefront of changing the way people, and especially Filipinos, receive information and entertainment. The dawn of the digital age paves more and more ways to transform ideas into realities.

With this in mind, the Philippine Cable Television Association, Inc. (PCTA) dubbed its 2010 Convention as “Embracing the Digital Age,” held at the SMX Convention Center last March 16–19.

The PCTA Convention presented insights and information on digitization, along with other issues which impact and shape the cable television landscape. It also featured a comprehensive exhibition of the newest programs and technologies; discussions regarding fresher perspectives and new business insights; and an opportunity to establish and strengthen networks within the industry and with business communities.

The convention was held in part with the gold sponsors SES World Skies and TBN; and silver sponsors Cable Boss, HBO, France 24, C-Cor Broadband, Verimatrix, TV5Monde, and Shop TV.

For a full list of exhibitors and sponsors, delegate information, and programme, please visit the PCTA website or cal the PCTA Secretariat at telephone numbers 638-8541 or 638-8544. You may also send an email to cableconvention@pcta.org.ph
