The 13th Annual Drugstore Association of the Philippines (DSAP) National Convention was held last September 10 – 12, 2009 at Villa Caceres Hotel in Naga City, Albay. Almost a thousand delegates attended the successful event, including the DSAP members and trade partners.
With the theme “The DSAP Competitive Advantage: Developing Creative Strategies to Surmount Economic Challenges”, the national convention will bring together drugstore owners from different parts of the country to tackle issues affecting the industry, according to DSAP North Bicol Chapter President Vicente Uy Magadia.
Delegates gained new insights from the plenary sessions, as well as gained the latest updates in the pharmaceutical industry during the General Membership Assembly and availed of the special discounts offered by the business partners.
Around 90 sponsors and exhibitors participated in the DSAP Trade Expo 2009 and several showbiz personalities like Izza Calsado, singing group La Diva, Lloyd Umali ,Gisselle Sanchez and high powered dancers like the Maneuvers added highlights to the event.
The National Directors for 2010 were also elected. Various awards were given to deserving DSAP chapters, outstanding Committee Chairpersons and acknowledgements given to the business and trade partners.
The final night of the convention reached its momentum during the adventurous Chapter presentations of Negros Occidental, Central NCR, SOCCSKSARGEN, Quezon Province and South NCR.
