With the theme “SMEs: Rising Above Tough Times,” the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) Big Enterprise Small Enterprise (EBESE) conducted its 1st competitiveness summit at The Heritage Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Edsa, Pasay City last September 2, 2009.
The said summit became a platform where critical issues were discussed such as what enterprises can do to weather the current global economic storm, what specific tools and strategies have been employed by other companies, what key insights may be gained from the experiences of local manufacturers, both large and small, which made them competitive despite the more stringent demands of the market.
Packed with real-life examples, the resource organizations offered practical advice and solutions which the attendees may adopt to help them into transforming into super enterprises rising above tough times.
Speakers were Edgardo Lacson, Romeo Cruz, Renato Almeda, Patrick Tan, Joey Concepcion III, Alberto Buenviaje, Fortunato dela Pena, and Cecilio Pedro.
