The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) gathered businessmen for the 3rd Cebu Regional Retail Conference last July 1, 2009 at the Victoria Hall, Parklane Hotel.
The event, with the theme, “Retail Strategies for 2009 and Beyond -Ways to Attract Customers and Stay Competitive” had proven itself to be a huge success as the event was attended by more than 200 retailers from Cebu and neighboring region.
Topics such as “Creating a Stylish Retail Concept - Design Techniques for your Stores”, “When Everything Counts-Increase Cost Efficiency in an Uncertain Economy” and Innovative and Creative Entrepreneurship were also discussed by speakers representing their own business.
One of the highlights of this event was the awarding of the 2009 Outstanding Filipino Retailers (OFR)-Cebu Search. Four outstanding retailers from Cebu were able to get recognized by the judges and they were Junrex, Thirsty, Loalde and Cafe Laguna.
Lastly, more than 10 newly members of PRA-Cebu were inducted. They are as follows: AboitizLand, Inc. Banilad Cebu Trade Center, D+B Wines, Gaisano Incorporated, La Mian Bakeshop, New Datche Philippines Traders Corp., NUTECH Marketing, Richmedia Network, Inc., Titay’s Liloan Rosquillos & Delicacies, Inc., Virginia Foods, Inc.
