Aims to professionalize criminology education in the context of national developments, the Philippine Educators Association for Criminology Education Inc. (PEACE) held its 20th Annual Conference last July 17-18, 2009 at the University of Baguio, Baguio City.
Representatives from higher education institutions, both private and public all over the country were invited to attend. Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Emmanuel Angeles, in his memorandum dated June 8, 2009 endorsed said activity addresses to all CHED central and regional directors, presidents heads of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The theme of the convention is “The Status of Criminal Justice/ Criminology Education in the Country and Beyond.” Keynote speakers were Director Rosendo Dial, Senator Francisco Pangilinan, PRC Chairman Nicolas La Pena Jr., Hon. Vicente De Guzman III, Atty. Vicente Vinarao and other notable speakers.
