All About Business in the Philippine Business and Entrepreneurs 2009 Expo

It was all about business, business, and more business in the Philippine Business and Entrepreneurs Expo 2009 at the SM Megatrade Hall 2, held last July 29 to Aug. 2.

Each day of the event covered a specific topic, with different speakers for different aspects of the said subject, followed through by panel discussions. The topics discussed during the five-day expo were: Why Go into Business; Starting Your Business; Sustaining Business Viability; Business for Various Interest Groups; and Doing Business with OFWs.

Among the speakers for the event were Mr. Gavin Bunker of INSOL Development Foundation; Ms. Annaliza Villar, resource person of the Technology and Livelihood Resource Center (TLRC); Mr. Jhermaine O. Fernandez, owner and managing director of Web Dot Com Philippines; Mr. Jay Peñaflor, senior specialist of the Philippine Stock Exchange Market Education Department; Mr. Jose Romblon, chairman of Sure Sales International Corporation; Ms. Florence Getalado, owner of ACECHEM – TLRC Segment; Ms. Edith Santiago, founder-chairman of the KILUS Foundation; Mr. Ramon Lopez, executive director of the PCE; Ms. Jennilyn Antonio, owner of Ehje’s Peanut Butter; Mr. Paolo Tibig, president of VCargo; Dean Pax Lapid of the Entrepreneur’s School of Asia; Ms. Grace Gupana, president of Abs Gen International www.abs-herbs.com.ph/; Mr. Julius Caesar Castillo, president and general manager of Entrepreneurial Training Center; Prof. Rolly Cagay of Century World Marketing; Mr. George Arriola, president of the Pamilyang OFW SME Network Foundation; and Atty. Major sponsor Western Union hosted different games for the participants, set in between the different scheduled activities within each day.
