ASPPI holds 11th OSH

With the theme “Sustaining Business Excellence Through OSH Innovation,” the Association of Safety Practitioners of the Phils. Inc. (ASPPI) with the support of the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) held its 11th Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Symposium last December 4 at the OSHC Auditorium, North Ave., cor. Agham Road, Quezon City. This was done in line with their common goal of making the working environment a better and safer place.

BWC Director Lawyer Brenda L. Villafuerte, ASPPI National President Engr. Andres Larry B. Serif and Engr. Michael D. Arguelles who stood as the symposium chairman all helped together to bring safety professionals, experts and advocates of occupational safety and health to discuss current developments as well as share experiences and expertise on Safety and Health. Collaborative activities enhancing OSH in the country were further facilitated. 

On the occasion, safety advocates from the government and private sectors shared their expertise on workplace safety and health. Resource speakers were DOLE Undersecretary Lourdes M. Trasmonte, DOH Undersecretary Mario C. Villaverde, Unilever Marketing Director Rene M. Morente, Senior Manager EHS Irving c. Guerrero, Mr, Andres Larry B. Seril Jr., Mr. Michael M. Mayo, PRI VP Dr. Teresita Cucueco and BWC Director Lawyer Brenda L. Villafuerte.
