Philippine Asian MICE Forum 2010

Experts and professionals from the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry gathered and discussed the trends and directions of the regional and global market during the Philippine Asian MICE Forum last August 27 to 28 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Pasay City.

Organized by the Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers (PACEOS) and supported by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC), and Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA), the MICE Forum carried the theme “21st Century Asia and the Global MICE Market” which reflected its goal to compete with the other MICE hubs like Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, and Shanghai and present the Philippines as a ‘potentially formidable player’ in this industry.

During the event, notable personalities from different sectors shared their knowledge about the ‘new wave destinations’ of the MICE industry, client satisfaction, proper costs and pricing for events, bidding for international events, safety and security during events, and capitalizing on festival tourism.
