Big Things Built at Philconstruct 2008

Big deals were closed and big partnerships were made as the biggest names in the construction products, equipment and services industry met at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City for the 18th Philippine International Construction Equipment & Building Materials Exhibition & Technology Forum held last November 13 – 16, 2008.

Organized by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) and managed by Global – Link Marketing and Management Services, Inc. (Global-Link), Philconstruct has become the venue for interrelated businesses to forge partnership and showcase the latest products and services in the construction, building, mining, and household industry.

PCA recently built partnership with these three major organizations in the construction and building business, namely the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association (PMSEA), Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers (PSVARE), and the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID). These organizations aided PCA to make this event successful as last year’s affair.

This year’s event incorporated the 11th International Heating, Ventilating, Air conditioning, Refrigerating, Filtration and Purification Technology Exhibition & Conference (HVAC/R Philippines 2008); 3rd International Exhibition of Equipment, Machinery, Tools, Technology and Support Services for the Mining Industry (Mining Asia 2008); and the 5th International Interiors, Furnishing & Furniture, Lighting, Home Entertainment & Total Lifestyle Exhibition (Modern Home Expo 2008)

The venue was filled with over 1,000 booths from 21 countries, occupying over 25,000 sq. m. of indoor and outdoor display. In addition, the event hosted the Technoforum 2008, a combination of 50 comprehensive seminars on the latest solutions, innovations, and opportunities in the construction and building industry.

Philconstruct 2008 is presented by Samsung and DVM Plus lll and sponsored by Boysen Paint, Cemex Philippines, Davies Paints, Holcim Philippines Inc., Lafarge , Monark CAT, and Sanyo Philippines Inc.
