Various independent business clubs around the archipelago gathered in Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Nivel Hills, Cebu City last June 11, 2009 for the first National Business Conference.
The conference titled “Facing old Challenges, Forging New Engagements” focused on four key topics; view of the foreign investor, reforming the budget process, transparency and governance and education reform.
Speakers were Sen. Chiz Escudero, Sen. Mar Roxas, Sec. Gilbert Teodoro, Jose L. Cuisa Jr., Rep. Teofisto L. Guingona III, Dr. Chito B. Salazar and Peter L. Wallace. The reactors in the luncheon forum included Mr. Jess Alcordo, Dr. Benjamin Diokno, Mr. Simeon Marfor III and Dr. Felipe Medalla.
It was participated by Makati Business Club, Cebu Business Club, ARMM Business Club, Mindanao Business Council, Sta. Rosa Business Club, Iloilo Business Club, Calamba Business Club, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iligan Bay Chamber of Commerce, European Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Mactan Island Chamber of Commerce.
