The 3rd Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) brought together under one roof powerful global auto brand marques, as well as leading brands in affiliate and support industries last August 19 to 22, 2010 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay.
Some of those participating brands that attended the event which the the "Drive the Green Road" were Asian Carmakers Corporation (BMW), CATS Motors, Inc. (Mercedes-Benz, Jeep, Chrysler & Dodge), Columbian Autocar Corporation (Kia), Focus Ventures, Inc. (Chana), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (Honda), Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (Hyundai), Isuzu Philippines Corporation (Isuzu), Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (Mitsubishi), Nissan Motor Philippines, Inc. (Nissan), PGA Cars, Inc. (Porsche, Audi), Scandinavian Motors Corporation (Volvo), The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (GM), Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (Toyota), Universal Motors Corporation (Nissan LCVs), Suzuki Philippines Inc. (Suzuki), and Ford Group Philippines.
A number of the events' highlights were special auto financing rate exclusive for 3rd PIMS visitors prepared by BPI Family Savings, and a showcase of a green technology pavilion highlighting engine and vehicle technology simulators by the CAMPI Technical Committee.
The event was aimed to complement CAMPIs ongoing advocacy on the issue of climate change; and, to showcase the latest green technologies in alternative fuel-fed vehicles to include hybrids, and clean-burning, diesel-powered vehicles, and fuel-efficient gas engines, among others.
