AdMU hosted 5th Asian Development Summit

The 5th Asia Organization Development Summit was held last October 27-29 hosted by the Ateneo de Manila University http://www.admu.edu.ph/ and was conducted in their campus in Quezon City.

The annual summit is a venue for OD practitioners to exchange unique and best practices, to be updated on cutting edge research in organization development in Asia, and to network with around 300 managers, professionals, consultants, educators, and scholars, in OD and other fields from the business, non-profit, academic and government sectors who will be attending the summit.

Carrying the theme “Transforming Asian Organizations towards Global Competitiveness and Sustainability”, the summit provided a greater understanding of OD models and processes in various sectors, countries, and cultures. Moreover, keynote speaker Christopher Worley, research scientist of the University of Southern California’s Center for Effective Organizations and former director of the Pepperdine MS Organization Development Program, showcased three days of skills building, workshops, and thematic sessions which featured research and practice of OD in Asia.

The Asia OD Network http://www.aodn.org/ (AODN) was formed in 2006 by a group of OD scholars and practitioners originating from or based in Asia which aims to provide a venue for all OD professionals to network with each other and to share knowledge and best practices on the unique needs of the dynamic Asian region. With this objective, the annual OD summit was launched as a vehicle to help promote AODN and its objectives.
