Agora’s 8th Marketing Conference

“Marketing as an Engine for Growth and Profitability”, this is theme of the 8th Agora Conference held last October 18 at the Hotel Intercontinental http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/intercontinental/en/gb/home, Manila organized by the Philippine Marketing Association http://philippinemarketing.net.ph/eng/.

The conference was participated by AGORA awardees—acclaimed individuals for their stellar contribution in the advancement of the marketing profession in the Philippines.

Mr. Hermawan Kartajaya, President of the World Marketing Association, handled the morning session of the event with talk entitled “Marketing 3.0: From Products to Customers to the Human Spirit”. He is a renowned Asian marketing guru and was named by the United Kingdom’s Chartered Institute of Marketing as one of the “50 Gurus Who Have Shaped the Future of Marketing.” His latest book, Marketing 3.0, is widely acknowledged globally and will be translated into nineteen non-English languages.

Moreover, the afternoon session of the said conference was filled with a wide-range of discussion that contributed to the marketing industry. It was conducted by Mr. Vicente “Jess” Dinglasan, Relationships Manager of IDS Philippines. His speech was entitiled “Expand Your Customer Base Through Value-chain Logistics and Distribution.” Mr. Dustin Andaya, on the other hand, talked about “Maximizing Sales Conversion: Turning Guests Into Customers. He is currently the Marketing Director of Island Rose.net http://www.islandrose.net/. Lastly, Ms. Ma. Belen Fernando, Vice President for Marketing of Alaska Milk Corporation http://www.alaskamilk.com.ph/ discussed about “Marketing As Innovation.”
